Founder and Design Director of TANGY Collection,

who rediscovered the Gambiered Guangdong Silk in 1995 and has been popularizing it since then.

 

She established LIANG ZI Fashion Industrial Co. Ltd. in Shenzhen in 1995 and created the brand TANGY (the will of nature) with her husband.

Liang Zi graduated in fashion design from Xi’an Polytechnic University in China in 1990.

 

Between 1999 and 2001, she studied in Paris (Ecole de la Chambre Syndicate et de la Couture parisienne) and New York (Fashion Institute of Technology).

In 2005, she pursued further studies in London Central Saint Martins.

 

In 2007, Liang Zi won China’s Golden Top Award – the highest fashion design award in the country, and was hailed by Harper’s Bazaar (China) as an eco-pioneer in the fashion field.

 

In 2019, LiangZi launched the TANGY Collection boutique “Maison Liang Zi” in Paris, opening a new chapter for the protection, innovation and popularization of the Gambiered Silk around the world.
